Ikaria Satellite Scientific Experience: Lifestyle, Longevity & Healthy Aging

Organized by MLMI in collaboration with Kaiti Iliadou, Welcome Exclusive Travel Services

Following the 5th MLMI Symposium, we are pleased to invite the Symposium participants to a special Satellite Scientific Experience in Ikaria, a region internationally recognized for exceptional longevity.

This unique scientific and cultural program will explore the relationship between lifestyle, nutrition, physical activity, social connectedness, environment, and healthy aging in the setting where traditional Ikarian practices are lived.

Limited to 15 participants

on a first-come, first-served basis

Scientific Focus

Through expert discussions, field experiences, and interaction with the local community, we will explore:

  • Healthy aging and longevity
  • Traditional Mediterranean and Ikarian nutrition
  • Physical activity and active living
  • Social connectedness and community
  • Stress, relaxation, and daily rhythms
  • Environment and health
  • Traditional knowledge and modern health research

The program will combine
short scientific sessions with experiential activities, including guided hikes, visits to traditional villages, exploration of local food practices, a traditional cooking experience, wine tasting, cultural and historical visits, and opportunities to experience the natural environment.

Rather than viewing Ikaria as having a single “secret” to longevity, the Symposium will provide an opportunity to consider how multiple lifestyle and environmental factors may interact to support healthy aging, and how these factors can be investigated scientifically.

Limited Participation

To maintain an intimate setting for scientific exchange and interaction with the local community, participation is limited to 15 people, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Join us for an inspiring extension of the MLMI Symposium, where science, nature, culture, and healthy living meet in Ikaria.

We look forward to welcoming you!
